The Claude Cowork / Claude Code plugin
Talk to Claude about your book.
Claude writes, shortens, schedules.
Most social media tools ask you to fill out forms. Ours lets you have a conversation instead. You say “write me a week of Instagram and TikTok posts for my new cozy mystery launch” — and Claude does it. Every caption, every image, every scheduled time. In your voice. Using your books. No modules to wire up, no scenarios to debug.
What it actually does
Three real prompts authors have run through the plugin this week, and what happened next.
You say
“I just finished the cover for Book 4 in the Port Tempest series. Tease it for a week on Instagram, TikTok, and Threads — don't spoil the release date yet.”
Claude does
Reads your pen name's brand voice and prose style guide. Writes seven days of Instagram captions, seven for TikTok, seven for Threads — each tuned to that platform's length and tone. Generates an AI teaser image per day. Schedules the whole week across your connected accounts. Shows you a summary to approve before anything goes live.
You say
“Make a short link for my pre-order page with utm_source=newsletter, and give me a QR code I can drop into the back of Book 3 before I upload it to Amazon.”
Claude does
Builds the UTM-tagged URL, shortens it to your branded domain (storylink.to by default, or your own), and tells you the short URL. You open Links + QR Codes and download the QR at 512×512 PNG, ready to paste into your manuscript. The link carries Switchy click analytics so you know how many readers actually scanned it.
You say
“Here's an article I wrote. Turn the key points into a LinkedIn post and a Threads thread.”
Claude does
Reads the article in the conversation (no copy-paste, no uploads). Writes a LinkedIn post that fits the platform's professional voice, and a Threads thread broken into digestible beats. Schedules both for your preferred posting times. You review, approve, done.
New this spring
The plugin just got smarter about links. Every shortening and UTM-tagging move Claude makes now flows through our branded shortener with real click analytics.
Short links
Branded short URLs on storylink.to(or your own custom domain). Claude can shorten any URL inline — “shorten my Amazon link before writing this caption” just works.
UTM builder
Tag campaign-tracking parameters (source, medium, campaign) onto any URL so Google Analytics, Shopify, or your newsletter platform attributes the clicks correctly. Save presets per pen name for campaigns you run often.
QR codes
Download a print-ready 512×512 PNG of any short link with one click. Perfect for book inserts, bookmarks, conference flyers — anywhere a long URL doesn't fit.
Your own Switchy analytics
Bring your own Switchy.io key and branded domain and every short link you create flows through your own account. Click counts, referrers, countries, devices — all yours. Or skip it and use our shared storylink.to; still works great.
What Claude can generate
The plugin reaches every shipped feature of Author Automations Social. A non-exhaustive list of what Claude can produce on your behalf:
AI media, three providers
Image, video, and music via Magnific (formerly Freepik), fal.ai (1,000+ specialized models), or Google Gemini Nano Banana (image) + Gemini Veo (video). Configure all three; the per-day Regenerate-with picker swaps providers per day if one didn't land.
Carousels with text overlays
Per-slide or single_repeated mode, 3-25 slides, per-slide text overlays, per-platform slide caps (Instagram 10, LinkedIn 9, TikTok 35, etc.). Upload your own image for any individual slide instead of generating it.
Per-platform composer options
Stories, Reels, Trial Reels (Instagram), first-comments, topic tags (Threads), subreddit + flair (Reddit), cover frames (TikTok). Each platform's native features surfaced as Claude tools.
Pre-flight checks + retries
Account-active check at schedule time prevents silent failures from disconnected platforms. Failed posts get a 15-minute email with a one-click retry. Per-platform deliveries: a post going to four platforms can succeed on three, fail on one, and you only retry the one.
From automation to conversation
For years, running social media as an author meant wiring up automation scenarios in Make.com or Zapier — triggers, webhooks, carefully named folders of RSS feeds. We taught those workflows to thousands of authors for more than two years.
The plugin is what comes next. Same underlying tool, different interface: instead of wiring modules, you have a conversation. Claude already knows your books, your brand voice, your connected platforms, your posting schedule, your pen names. You just tell it what you want to happen.
Automations did the work. Conversations do the thinking.
Two paths to install
Pick whichever Claude you're already using. Both end at the same place — Claude can read your accounts and schedule posts on your behalf.

Add as a custom connector
Generate a credential pair in Settings, paste it (with our MCP URL) into Cowork's “Add custom connector” form. ~3 minutes, no install, no terminal.

Install via plugin marketplace
Two slash commands in any Claude Code session. The plugin is a thin wrapper over the same hosted MCP — you sign in via browser the first time a tool runs.

Every caption before it goes live. Claude never publishes without showing you first. Edit any line; rewrite any caption; cancel any post.
Your voice, your books, your pen names. Claude reads your prose guide, brand guide, and books library before writing anything. Your cozy-mystery posts don't leak into your thriller pen name's feed.
The choice to not use AI at all. Every feature of Author Automations Social works without the plugin — scheduler, calendar, queue, failure alerts, Links + QR codes. AI is a lane, not the only lane.
Predictable cost. $29/month for the tool, whether or not you use AI. If you use AI, you pay the provider directly — most authors run $5–$15/month. We don't mark up AI costs.
Stop wiring. Start talking.
$29/month gets you the full Author Automations Social platform plus the Claude plugin. Two pen names included. Cancel anytime.
